Black represents Shui 水 water. It signifies trust and calm. The lantern is finished with a layer of oil, which gives the lantern a smooth satin finish.
The fabric is hand-colored and finished with a traditional
“umbrella finish”. Constructed with Makino bamboo frames, known for their durability and flexibility.
